Onedin Line

For many a classic in the period drama genre, based in the 1860's in the midst of the Liverpool docks it charts the rise of the charasmatic James Onedin from a hired Ship's Captain and the younger son of a mere Chandler to owner of one of the most daring and innovative Shipping lines of the day! Yet despite having "ambition enough for an army of Napoleon's" that would not prove enough to make a start in the cut throat world of shipping, instead it would fall to one "remarkable woman" to give him the capital he needed exchange for "the security of his name and share in his success.

The Onedin Line is a must for all fans Maritime and all true romantics, with dashing hero's, devious yet handsome villains, enough action and scullduggery to keep even the hardest of hearts happy; Onedin line has more than enough to appeal to people of all ages.
